Patrol

The Patrol Division is the largest division with the Police Department and provides the community with the assurance of a safe environment by providing uninterrupted 24-hour preventative patrol. We have 29 officers assigned to the Patrol Division who work 12-hour rotations. In 2019, the department responded to 23,200 calls for service. We use specialized units to address both community and criminal issues, such as MERIT, NIPAS, the Honor Guard, Bike Patrol and the K-9 Unit.

The services provided by the Patrol Division were established on the philosophy of community oriented policing. It is based on the continued, positive interaction between the community and members of the Oak Brook Police Department to work together with our residents to develop solutions to neighborhood problems.
